Palin says she's not a quitter. She recently announced she was resigning from the office of Governor of Alaska due to "the tremendous pressure, time and financial burden of a litany of ethics complaints in the past several months." And, in an interview with CNN she said, "I am not a quitter. I am a fighter."

Palin's lawyer, Thomas Van Flein said "...she was the national campaign for Republicans last fall." He basically said the decision whether or not to vote for McCain was really about Sarah Palin and could she take on Obama. And, she was under a lot of pressure because she carried the campaign - in his opinion.

Van Flein also mentioned Letterman's "off-color" joke contributed to her decision. Plus, "she needed a break after being on duty now for two and a half years solid."

Okay, first of all, "resigning" is the same thing as "quitting." Things started getting tough for you so, instead of sticking it out, you quit. Secondly, if a couple jokes about you and/or your family rattled you so bad that you need to take a break from public office, then you wouldn't have made a good Vice President. And, you DAMN sure won't make a good President - the article also mentioned she might run for President in 2012. You don't even have the testicular fortitude to stick it out as Governer for a full term, what makes you think you can be President?
