I used Amazon.com for the first time this weekend. I like the idea of being able to purchase items from different vendors in the same transaction. That would be great if you could do that at the mall: Pick up items at Sears, Hot Topic, Brookstone and Dillard's and then checkout as you're leaving the mall. That way, you online use your credit card once. I know, that would never happen.

The thing I don't about shopping on Amazon is that when you purchase items from multiple vendors, you'll get multiple shipments. AND, you'll pay multiple shipping charges.

ETAOkay, I have a couple corrections. Of the four items I purchased on Amazon.com, one item will be shipped from Amazon.com and the other three will be shipped from a different vendor. Amazon.com is not charging me for shipping, so I'm only paying shipping for the other three items. HOWEVER, even though I only had to checkout once, they show up as two separate transactions.
