A few years ago, I bought the "Ultimate Hoodie" from ScotteVest. I Love pockets - cargo pants, bags with lots of pockets/compartments, etc. And, I Love hoodies. The original Ultimate Hoodie (OUH) really doesn't have a lot of pockets. It has a "hidden" breast pocket, accessed through an outside zipper. The jacket has a "Personal Area Network (PAN)". Put your iPod in the "hidden" pocket and route the headphone wires through a hole into the inside of the jacket and then up through wire loops along the collar. Plus, the breast pocket have 2 sections, separated by a zipper. The external hand-warmer pockets have elastic bands to hold a small bottled water or other items, as well as magnetic closures to keep items from falling out of the pockets. They also have a small - too small, actually - Velcro-closure coin pocket inside the hand-warmer pockets, and button holes to route headphone wires.

The new Ultimate Hoodie (NUH) has 2 hidden breast pockets - left and right. And, they actually are hidden because they're only accessible from inside the jacket. And, both of those pockets have sub-divided pockets.

The hand-warmer pockets now have much larger Velcro-closure coin pockets.

The complaint(s) I have is that the inside breast pockets have zipper closures. That means you first have to unzip the main zipper enough to access the inside pocket and then unzip the inside pocket. The breast pocket of the OUH has a zipper closure too, but it's on the outside of the jacket. Granted, it also has a magnetic closure inside the pocket, which I also thought wasn't really needed. Instead of zippers on the breast pockets of the NUH, I would rather have magnetic closures.

Another complaint is the PAN on the NUH. Instead of a few small elastic loops around the collar - as on the OUH - there are 3 flaps - 2 with small elastic loops - around the collar. This places extra fabric on the back of the neck, making my neck hot. Plus these flaps are held down with Velcro and I've scratched myself twice putting the jacket on.

And, two of the flaps have little labels sewn onto them, and the corners of these labels scratch my neck. And, that's when I'm wearing a shirt with a collar - it will be even worse when I'm wearing a t-shirt or other collarless shirt.

I'll be cannibalizing my OUH to make modifications to my NUH.
