I thought I had already posted something about the new iGoogle layout, but I can't find it. I started using Google back in 1998 because their page wasn't cluttered with ads and a bunch of other crap. Then, I really fell in Love with Google when they came out with iGoogle. I especially Love the Google Bookmarks gadget. I can save all my Favorites/Bookmarks there and can access no matter what computer I'm using.

ETA: I forgot to mention that I also use and LOVE Gmail. Google has done a great job with that. I especially Love how you can expand or collapse previous emails within a thread. I wish Microsoft did that with Outlook.

Something else you can do with iGoogle is create multiple pages or tabs and configure each one however you want. For instance, you can have one tab as your homepage and configure load it up with the gadgets use most, then configure another page with all news gadgets, and another page with game gadgets or whatever.

Several months ago, Google changed the layout of their iGoogle page and they added a tab for the different pages you may have configured (exhibit 1A). The trouble is, they stuck on the left side of the page and moved everything else over to the right. It just takes up too much space. You can minimize it, but it's still there, taking up space (2A). Not to mention, when it's expanded, all it's doing is listing the gadgets on that tab.

I can deal with the links at the top (exhibit B), but it would be nice if I could customize which links display there. I can do without the other links at exhibit C, especially the link for changing the theme since you can also do that when edited the tab. There is also an option to "Hide Chat" but there is still a link to "Enable Chat" on the tab.

I wouldn't even mind the tab so much if I could move it to the top or somesuch.
