Yesterday, I pre-ordered Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition. Shortly after placing the order online, I got a call from Gamestop. Actually, I had my hands full and couldn't take the call, so I let it go to voicemail. They were calling to confirm the order. At the time, I didn't think it was a big deal, since this is the first time I've ordered anything from them online. A VW parts place did that the first time I ordered from them.
But, last night, I got an email from Gamestop saying I had to call them to confirm the order. And, it wasn't a matter of them leaving me a voice mail and sending me an email at the same time. The voice mail was at 4:30pm, and the email was at 9:00pm. But, sure enough, when I called again this morning, they said they sent the email just in case I didn't get the voicemail.
I asked if I would have to do this everytime I placed an order online, and they said I would until "enough history is built up." What the frak does that mean? I guess I won't be ordering anything else from Gamestop.
