Hollywood needs new writers. I'm not sure how it made it into my Netflix queue but I watched Children of Men not too long ago. That movie was so predictable. If you haven't seen this movie yet and you plan to, then DO NOT READ THIS POST, spoilers follow.
Stop me if you've heard this one. First, we take an unlikely hero, give him a mission to transport precious cargo to a destination within a certain amount of time. Our unlikely hero completes his mission but sacrifices his own life in the process. But, along the way, most - if not all - of the people who help are also killed.
I have a great idea for a movie. It starts out with someone approaching our "unlikely hero" to get him (or her) to transport precious cargo. They explain the details and he replies, "FRAK THAT! That sounds dangerous. Why don't you call the A-Team or somesuch?" From that point forward, the movie just turns into a cookie cutter buddy comedy.
