I used to wear ball caps ALL THE TIME. I don't know when I stop, but it's been 8 or 9 years since I've worn a ball cap. Recently, I decided I wanted a "tactical" ball cap - something with hook-n-loop sections so that I could display an American flag patch - or maybe some other patch - on the front and a patch on the back. There were no tactical caps on the market that I liked, so I decided to make my own. I took a black Under Armour Stretch Fit Cap, removed as much of the front UA logo as I could and tried to sew on some hook-n-loop patches. I wasn't having much luck sewing on the hook-n-loop so I took the hat to a tailor.

Front After - I couldn't find a hook-n-loop patch as big as I wanted, so I used two patches
