I found a picture of one of the early Smith and Wesson M&P models and it had a lanyard loop in the frame tool. After doing a little looking around on the Internet, I found that Smith and Wesson used to offer a lanyard frame tool as an after market accessory. So, I sent an email to the guy at S&W who helped me out when I had to send my gun back and asked where I could order one.
